DATA CENTER RELOCATION

COMPANY: BRITISH AMERICA TOBACCO
Project Description: Relocated the Mexico headquarters' Data Center to new premises which involved the re-allocation of all network equipment (Routers, Switches, Access Points, Firewalls, Wireless Lan Controllers), Windows & Linux Servers, Voice Gateways and cabling. We carried out an in-depth audit and mapping each point of connection of their 23 IDFs (Intermediate Distribution Frames) with more than four thousand (4K) nodes. All their branch offices' connectivity throughout the country were also migrated.

MPLS MIGRATION AND WIRELESS INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADE

COMPANY: GRAINGER DE MEXICO
Project Description: Migrated existing E1 – MPLS connectivity to Ethernet Technology and replaced all “End of Life” wireless equipment from all Grainger Mexico locations including Wireless Lan Controller at the Headquarters

REMEDIATION PLAN NIKE AMERICAS

Project Description: Standardized and updated network configuration for all the Routers, switches and firewalls devices inside Nike America’s Network

REDESIGN AND DEPLOYMENT OF NEW CORPORATE NETWORK

COMPANY: GRUPO TRANSREGIO
Project Description: Designed, created and implemented from scratch a new layer 1, 2 & 3 network (routing, Inter VLAN connections, IP addressing, cabling) wireless network, security layer (firewalls and access-list design) and VoIP network for the 12 companies of the corporate group (16 locations)

During my tenure with these companies, the following represent some of my most remarkable professional achievements.

Company: Grainger

Achievement:

Saved 3X the manpower cost by managing and executing over 16 different projects in-house that involved replacing all their wireless equipment, infrastructure enhancement for the new Americas SAP project, the Riverbed deployment, internet link, and the MPLS migration nationwide. I lead 10 of these projects as the primary owner and PM using Agile methodology, all closed successfully on schedule.

Prior to my hiring, most of the network projects of GMEX were outsourced to the Grainger US network engineering team making the manpower cost of each project very costly.  

Job title: Manager, Infrastructure Technology & Innovations
Company: Grupo TransRegio

Major Achievements:

Established the Innovation Department, which resulted in the development and application of  16 new technologies to the fleet of urban buses (860 busses) launching Grupo TransRegio as the technological pioneer of its industry in Mexico.

With a budget of US$20K, I established the Analysis & Repair Department, sourced technical personnel, and purchased specialized equipment to successfully prevent US$1.9M in revenue losses and US$ 240K in annual outsourcing expenses.

Planned and program managed the long-term migration of the entire network to a new Cisco platform (Routing, Switching, Wireless, VoIP).

Achievement:

Investigated, developed and created every technical documentation of the WAN, LAN and wireless network of BAT (British American Tobacco) making possible the migration from a 3Com platform to a Cisco platform increasing the performance of the network nation wide.

As a leader in the organization, I provide the Vice President of Finance & Chief Operating Officer with expert recommendations and successfully execute solutions for the Society’s internal infrastructure, database, electronic communications, and third-party support

I lead and manage four main projects from beginning to end.
